3 April – 1 May 2011, at the Kyiv’s Museum of Hetmanship you can see a unique exhibition of Easter-eggs, woolen gobelins and icons inlaid with straw created by masters of arts and crafts Linda Uliana-Vartsab’yuk and Miroslava Boykiv originally coming from Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia areas of Ukraine.
A dozen of other folk artists from the same areas complement the exhibition with a good number of their art creations such as eggs-paintings on the chicken, goose and ostrich eggs painted both in the original and traditional techniques; embroidery, icons inlaid with straw (the author’s original technique), tapestries, embroideries, cheese products, ceramics, and even more.
