For some reason the doshchovytsya is considered to be a Latin American instrument. Maybe it’s due to the fact that the ethnic music of this region is very popular in the world. But this instrument used to be present on all the continents... In Ukraine borshchyvnyk was most often used and sometimes the sunflower stalks, too. It was a ceremonial shaman instrument and it was inaccessible for general public...
