
Vasyl is a Kyiv potter born in Donetsk. In his creative work with clay he both follows the traditions and makes his own experiments. He also teaches pottery others: he teaches ceramics at a university and holds master-classes for all the willing people.
Vasyl is a potter and a ceramist. He likes to experiment with clay, to invent interesting images, shapes and to interpret them in plastics. It’s this that the master’s (specialist) diploma was about: 12 kumanetses each containing a composition devoted to one of Heracles’ deeds inside.
«I decided to study for a potter because I liked it more: my brother at the time was already studying at the faculty of metals and I had the choice between the wood carving and ceramics. Though till the very first class I hadn’t had any idea what clay is and had never held it in my hands».
