Varvara Matsella

This master is the founder of a new direction of creating motanka dolls. Wire, threads, patches of fabric is all Ms Matsella needs for making her original dolls. With pleasure she teaches girls and even boys this craft at the master classes that she often conducts in different museums and schools of the Ukrainian capital.

Creative work

Varvara Matsella makes toys of different sizes from different kinds of material: textiles and corn ears. Her original dolls seem a bit naïve but very warm at the same time. As for the sizes of the dolls, they look as tender and at the same time as energetic and special like their creator.
