Valentyna Milenko

Valentyna is a master of Petrykivka decorative painting from Dnipropetrovs’k region. For more than thirty years she has been ornamenting decorations and houseware – wooden and metal – by “Petrykivka” flowers. She also paints pictures on paper.

Creative work

Originality of the author’s style is represented in colors and ornaments which can never be confused with other masters’ works. The teacher of Valentyna Milenko was Andriy Pikush, nowadays – an honored master of Petrykivka decorative painting. Valentyna learned on the best models of such masters as Tetyana Pata, Fedir Panko and others. She has developed her own training system for young masters and at present she leads a course in Petrykivka paining in Odesa.
