Serhiy is a tailor and a shoemaker from Kyiv. He reconstructs clothes and historical things of Kyiv Rus epoch and the middle ages. Besides, the master sews bags after medieval models and ornaments them by Trypillya symbols.
The master sews bags for different purposes of contemporary life from clay-colored leather after medieval models (sigarette-cases, sheath for knives etc). Using etching technique he decorates them by thin decorative lines of ornaments taken from Tomashivka and Koseniv groups of Trypillya cultures (symbols of snakes, moon, animal figures (dogs, bulls), people, trees, rain, cereal ears, soil). In his handiworks the author uses ornament components that he saw by himself – from the sketches he made and from the photos of findings.
Beside leather, the master works with fabrics: he models and reconstructs historical things of Kyiv Rus and the Middle Ages: garments worn under the armor, helmets; quilted jackets, knee-caps, gauntlets. From leather Serhiy makes boots, bags, belts, cases and sheaths for knives.
